Notes
(IME) Bullet is remarkably insensitive to seating depth for a VLD, shoots well jammed up to .020 off. (IMO)Case fill is low capacity. I can fit ~ 2 grains more powder before I start compressing loads.Magnum primers produce lowest SD (9.1) and ES (26). (In testing one round ONLY went 2906. Excluding that single slow round, group average is 2927 with a ES of 8 and SD of 3!) |

Still fighting fouling issues. Gave it a good scrub after, will retry.

Mar 30, 2016 | Cleaned after 0 rounds.Groupings have gone to hell, I'm going to give it a good scrub with some KG-2 to see if its fouling or what the deal is. This close (My fingers are super close RN) to sending it off to the smith to true it up and get a new barrel. | ||

Notes
I feel like this was too easy for my first real attempt at the OCW method. Almost identical performance across the entire range. I didn't have a chrono at this point. This is fired off a bench on bipod with a rear bag. Fouled barrel with factory 223 for 5 rounds then cooled. Used round robin method. Pressure checked with 23, 24, 25 and 26(max per berger) Loaded in .1 grain increments from 25.1 up. |
